Lesson example for beginners 2

Let us study the defects and the concepts in relation the follow piece developement:

1. d4 d5 2. Nf3 Nf6 3. e3 Bf5 4. Nbd2 e6 5. Ne5

White moves again the same piece in the opennings instead of developing a new piece. In general that only is good when is full justified, when that move its part of a important attack, that cant be defended easily. if can be rejected, then is bad, becuase waste time what could be used for developing. In this case looks some early, but e5 is a outpost and the piece cant be rejeted so easy and the position could be reinforced with f4 later, then is not full justified but no so bad neither.

Bd6 6. Ndf3

looks better 6. f4, now 6..Ne4 and 7..f6 and then the e5 knight should back, and yes Ne5 could be considered waste of time. with f4, whtie maintains e4 controled by the d2 knigth and then Ne4 is no so good.
6..c5 7. c3 a6

this last move yes seems a clear waste of time, moving a side pawn in the opennings without a good reason, instead of developing pieces.
8.Bd3 Bg4

Also could be considered waste of time, it moves again a developed piece without a good reason. The pin is no so bothersome from even the bishop could be taken inmediately.
9. Be2 O-O 10. h3 Bxf3 11. Nxf3 Nc6 12. Bd3 c4

c5 idea was to attack d4 and white center in general. c4 is no so frequent then, because the whtie cneter will be more solid after that. Anyway is usefull for get some counterplay in the queenside (future b4 break move) then no so bad.

13. Bc2 b5 14. O-O Rb8 15. Re1, right, from e4 is the only white break move for get some counterplay.
